Project 2013: January Recap

My very first Project 2013 project was writing every day in my journal. So how did I do?

I missed 2 days. One was because I completely forgot about it, and the other was because I didn't remember to write until after I was already in bed. I couldn't bear to wake up Oxford, so the bed won out.

Overall I really enjoyed this project. Journaling is nothing new to me--I've completed 18 journals in the last five years. Going back to read what I wrote is always so fun since my journaling style has changed over the years. When Dork and I started dating, I recorded almost every single text message he sent me. When I started getting into fashion, I started recording every outfit I wear. Now I treat it like a journal/Smash Book, including photos, tickets to plays I've been to, or whatever else strikes my fancy.

Any others out there who like to journal?

  1. I love all your journals!
I've been working on incorporating more journaling into my everyday. I'm more of a list maker, but it's a start!

I get scrapbook and smashbook style journal inspiration from Elise Cripe who journals quite a bit!

  2. Thanks for directing me to some fabulous inspiration!

Speaking of lists, have you heard of the 30 days of lists? It's a challenge with a prompt every day. I think you have to sign up and pay for it whenever it comes around (May, I think?), but you can usually find some old prompts floating around. I did it once and had a blast!
